dreamt of a thousand smiles
creeping and crawling
like spiders in a web of stages
they walk among a string
saw a million ghosts
whispering and whimpering
as magnolia blossoms dust
the crevices of gentle trees
and in this celebration of sleep
I tiptoe among their presence
and with this, I cannot breath

Itch
I lick upon my lips
and wipe up cells
longing for the scent
of singular words
I choke in their path
I itch the core
of my strangled self
scratching and tearing
like a cat cleaning
his own writhing belly
we both placate
this internal ache
and wipe up cells
longing for the scent
of singular words
I choke in their path
I itch the core
of my strangled self
scratching and tearing
like a cat cleaning
his own writhing belly
we both placate
this internal ache
Nostalgia
in the somber midst of an afternoon
something lovely came about
a moment of recollection
embraced this presence
of an unidentifiable matter
enchanted by it's chime
rejoicing in this celebration of time
something lovely came about
a moment of recollection
embraced this presence
of an unidentifiable matter
enchanted by it's chime
rejoicing in this celebration of time
