Late "Summer" Evening

Cage's piano dances
with innate brilliance
playing with the stillness
and rustling in between

as full green moves gently
with gold amongst the trees

his smile and mannerisms
bring joy and strangeness
he is sound embedded in body
he is body embedded in sound

and protection remains affixed
under preservation of his hands
